Dotty top – at the weekend
Yesterday’s dotty top with the black skinny jeans I’m never out of from Friday (dress down day at the office – woop!) to Sunday. I have several pairs of the exact same style and colour. I don’t like to think of myself as a creature of habit but I guess I am.
The year I spent ‘teaching’ in France (teaching = trying to control 30 bampot teenagers) I committed to saying yes to every invitation I got – within reason – in order to get out and meet people, and during the five years I worked in London I had a rule that I had to do something new every weekend.
It could be as easy as walking a different route to the Tube or something more fun like meeting a friend early doors Sunday morning and heading off to explore the Columbia Road flower market and Brick Lane.
Time to resurrect that way of thinking for my Glasgow life – it stops you getting stuck in a rut and doesn’t necessarily have to cost anything.
Wishing you an adventurous weekend full of exciting new experiences!
xx

That Topshop black on white/white on black polka dotted top is a fun look. The room in the photo sis interesting to. There’s some relatively modern decor in what looks to be a very well maintained more victorian style home. I know you are right about getting out of a rut. If only I could do a partial vulcan mind-meld (Star-Trek) and replace some of the reclusive ingrained instincts and apprehensions I retain, stodgy old codger that I am. I hope your adventurous weekend has enough exciting experiences for both of us. I’ll probably be hibernating or working on my tax returns. I’m such a bore!
