Saturday night & Sunday morning
Spent the day in Edinburgh yesterday and saw Tim Vine’s comedy show with my friend Ros. He’s been awarded the Fringe’s funniest joke prize for this gem:
“I’ve just been on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday. I’ll tell you what, never again.” (boom boom!).
Some pics from the day:
Braveheart here is a lovely guy called Adam Watters who gives up his free time to pose for pictures with tourists in exchange for a donation to charity – over the last few years he’s raised thousands of pounds for leukaemia charities. His enthusiasm and friendliness are second to none.
At the Pleasance comedy venue:
It was absolutely freezing in Edinburgh yesterday, so I bought this cardi in Zara and was wearing it before I’d left the shop!
Slept over at my parents’ place where I shared a room with my nephew who was also visiting for the night (Robbie in the big bed, Auntie Sarah in the little bed – not sure how that happened!).
We went to Gorgie City Farm this morning. My outfit was pretty much the same as last night’s – the leather mini wasn’t entirely appropriate for a farm visit but I hadn’t factored that into my plans!
Hope you had an equally wonderful weekend.
xx
Cardigan: Zara / Leather Skirt: Topshop

Looks like such a fun weekend. Your nephew is sooooo adorable!
Oh how cute is he? The farm looks fun – bet you were the most glamorous person there!
Was Tim Vine good? V. jealous that you went to Edinburgh as I’ve been saying for years that I’m going to go! Definitely going next August though.
Oh and I’ve just read your comment – they’re Office own brand and only cost £15. They look exactly like Toms don’t they? I am going to get some Toms next as I really approve of the work they do, but funds were tight at the time I bought them!
Aw, so cute! Leather skirts are ALWAYS appropriate! Love your blog x
oh, robbie is just so cute! i adore his hair. i love your cream cardigan, where is it from? yes, i hope i get to meet you at lfw, can’t believe my application got accepted!
love, jazzabelle xx
So adorable !
You’re very very lovely Sarah !
@Alex – Tim Vine was good overall. His show was based on interviewing members of the audience so it was a bit mixed. There were some hilarious moments though.
@Kirsty – thanks for the lovely comment.
@Jazzabelle – the cardi’s from Zara.
xx
I love your outfit – leather skirts and big cardis are going to be my autumn uniform I think!
Edinburgh looks awesome – I hope I’ll get a chance to finally visit this year!

Tim Vine’s hilarious, I saw him years ago and laughed so much but couldn’t recall a single joke afterwards.
Loving the wall of windmills and the cardi is fab, it’s so blooming cold at the moment. xxx
Your nephew is the cutest !!! I’ve see a lot of cute british babies here in Scotland… it’s pretty cold here in Glasgow too but maybe I’m just used to the warm weather
Lovely photos!
LOVE your leather skirt,it’s fab!!!
Hope you have a wonderful week <3
haha I think I saw Adam when I was in Edinburgh 4 years ago!!
these photos are so awesome! im jealous of your travels!
Nothing can beat a man’s love to his tractor! (and all the better when he’s got a well-dressed beauty standing next to him). I really want to visit Edinburgh one day. xo
This looks like so much fun! I have never been to Edinburgh properly, I went once for dinner when staying in Glasgow, and once to look round the uni but I’d love to visit the Fringe.
ps your cardi is amazing – what a fantastic shape!
Gorgeous photos!
What fun!
Love your cardi!

The Zara cardi is pretty and obviously an excellent choice as evidenced by your big smile. The leather mini and the hosiery look wonderful on you too. i have forgotten where the castle was that the Rocky Horror Picture Show was filmed in, but i seem to recall an interview with one of the actors (Susan Sarandon perhaps?) commenting on how chilly it was during the long days and nights of filming. It will be hot where i am the next few days. It looks like you had an interesting visit there in Edinburgh.
I’ve always dreamed to visit Scotland, hope to do it sooner or later (better sooner I would say!). Ah ah ah, and that man dressed as William Wallas is really too gorgeos!
I disagree, the leather mini is perfect for the farm! Looks like great fun! XX!
Robbie is adorable! Awwwww. Also, I want to visit the Fringe one day!
Sounds like a wonderful, eventful weekend! Love your outfit
Looks like you had a great weekend! How cute is your nephew?!!!
Ah, what a wonderful weekend you had, darling! Little Robbie is utterly adorbs – and I’m loving your tights!!
Fantastic photos Sarah! Your cardigan is beautiful so you should be kinda glad it was a little chilly. Looks like you had a wonderful time and your wee nephew is just adorable! x
Your nephew is the most adorable child EVER. I thought my nephew had it in the bag, but he can defo give him a run for his money
xx
Thanks so much for all the lovely comments about Robbie. Obviously I’m biased, but he is indeed super cute! xx
My ex (and still friend) was performing at the Fringe this year and he said it was great – hope you enjoyed yourself!
i really love this outfit…cosy cardi & leather skirt are perfect. i love edinburgh too, so really enjoyed seeing these.
(and i also wanted to mention about your harrogate recommendation which was so amazing when i was booked to go. i do love it there, your friends have such good taste, i love chester too. i have only visited once on an orient express trip but the place is so lovely, i would love to go back)
